Britnett-CarverTWO and ADV feature: Cart Checkout - Customer Comments

Comments or Special Instructions can be optionally entered on a customer's order, and this feature can be controlled (enabled/disabled, text configured) from within Britnett-Carver.

How to turn on / off:  Store > Product Pages & Shopping Cart > Layout > Edit.

The Front End - What the Customer Sees

On the 2nd step of the shopping cart checkout process, there's a Comments / Special Instructions section just above the Payment section:

The comments field is limited to 2,000 characters.  Any amount of text can be entered in the text box of course, but the cart program will cut ("truncate") the text at 2,000 if it's more than that.

On the 3rd step of the checkout process, the customer can review their comment (if they entered one) along with all their other information before submitting their order:

The comment, if any, appears in the customer's Order Confirmation Email and in the Order Alert email to the site  owner:

The site owner can show or hide the Comments Box on the cart checkout pages in StoreManager:

The site owner can enter their own text to appear as instructions above the Comments box on the checkout page. This is done via this StoreManager command:
