CONTRACT FLOORING COMPANY IS ON A ROLL WITH BRITNETT
Commercial contract flooring company Durham Flooring is now enjoying record online sales following the launch of its new SEO enhanced website developed by Britnett Web Services. Since the website (www.durhamflooring.co.uk) went live, turnover has more than doubled, with over 75% of sales now generated online.
Established in 2002, the family-owned business which employs three people has a strong reputation for supplying and fitting professional flooring, carpet tiles, linoleum, designer floors, screeding and dry lining for retail outlets, public houses, casinos, factories and public buildings. One of its latest contracts has been the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.
Looking to grow its business, Durham Flooring went online from its outset. However its original website failed to help them gain the contracts the company was keen to secure. We have had consistent, friendly and realistic support it feels like a partnership. They always have helpful suggestions. We have a monthly catch-up and we receive a full annual review. We completely upgraded the site recently and it was all part of the service.
The attractive website Britnett created is also easy for customers to use. Contributing hugely to its success, is it is easy for customers to find too, thanks to its inbuilt Biz Sub search engine optimisation software which helps the site appear high-up in searches on Google and Yahoo etc.
Sam Watson adds: Our website now lets us punch above our weight. It looks very professional and opens doors for us with bigger tenders. The search engine optimisation software has really had a huge impact on our turnover. The commercial upturn was almost immediate. In three months Durham Flooring went from being hidden somewhere down on page four or five of most searches to being high up on the first page.
Before the launch of its Britnett-built website, Durham Flooring also had issues with seasonal peaks and troughs with bottlenecks of work coming during the traditional factory fortnight and around New Year. Now there is less reliance on these times as business is more consistent throughout the year due to the diverse range of contracts the company is now securing.
Sam Watson adds: As with many companies we have experienced a slowdown this year but things are already picking right back up again. We are trading solidly through-out the year and truly nationally. Now 75% of our business comes via the website. We have large contracts across the country.
