Free StatCounter

Britnett have used StatCounter for our detailed statistics for some years. StatCounter offer a free account to Britnett clients and Britnett will set up the account for your clients at your request. Carver is designed to accept the StatCounter code along with Google Analytics code in the Site Visitor Tracking Code section.

StatCounter have included Britnett installation instructions for Britnett-Carver on their international website. The instructions have been added to the StatCounter knowledge base along with: MySpace, Yahoo and Google. http://www.statcounter.com/britnett/

Free accounts are restricted to 500 logs - on average this will show about one weeks stats. Older logs will be deleted. Therefore a weeks window - real-time- of your clients stats.

Should your client require more logs - IE more historic logs they have an option to upgrade.
Upgrade costs are about £10-£15 per month paid direct to StatCounter.

StatCounter Useful Info:

You will not see visits from robots. StatCounter tracks only real visits so visits from search engines like Google are not recorded.

Upgrade

Should your clients want to upgrade they need to open a new account with Statacounter and then up-grade. *Google Analytics do offer a stat services that allows historic data at no charge.

How to Up-Grade and install Stat Counter in Carver.

1 - Sign up for a free account at StatCounter and follow the 'Install Code' wizard to generate your StatCounter code.
2 - When prompted, make sure to choose Britnett-Carver Webpage Editor as your Blog/Web Page Editor from the drop down list.
3 - Copy the StatCounter code (highlight + ctrl c)
4 - Log into Admin in Carver
5 - On the top Navigation bar Click Web Site
6 - On the Left Navigation bar Click Site Visitor Tracking Code
7 - Enter the custom tracking code provided by StatCounter. This code will be inserted in the source code of each of your web pages, near the bottom of the page code.
8 - Submit Changes.
